Both are powered by a 2.0L Subaru Boxer engine paired with either fully-synchronized 5-speed manual transmission with incline start assist or Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission with 6-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. These make the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek both powerful and efficient; when equipped with Lineartronic CVT, it can get up to 33 highway mpg. The symmetrical all-wheel drive, vehicle dynamics control, and traction control system make the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek capable of handling whatever you can throw at it, from a snowy commute to off-road exploration in the Rockies.
