Subaru models feature Brake Assist, which can sense a panic-stop situation and apply full braking power so you can stop in time to avoid a collision. The standard Antilock Braking System (ABS) pulses braking power to prevent wheel lock-up. Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) balances braking force between the front and rear wheels for optimum stability.

Futuristic assistance with EyeSight technology helps prevent risky situations.

When a Subaru model is equipped with the EyeSight system, it can make you aware of obstacles and other vehicles you might not see or notice otherwise. Two cameras, mounted by the rearview mirror, monitor traffic and react to conditions before you do. If EyeSight catches you trying to switch lanes when there's another car in your blind spot, or if the car in front of you is going significantly slower than you are, or there's rear cross-traffic, it will give you a warning or respond as needed to keep you safe. It's one step closer to autopilot, but not quite. Just enough to keep you alert on the road, and safer than ever.
